This trip is for additional training for anyone interested in becoming a guide.  Nothing like going all in!  You’ll be gone for a week in the Remote Lakes of the Upper Peninsula, MI

Trip Snapshot

Explore a slice of God’s creation that Michigan keeps a secret… although they did build a big bridge to keep it accessible for those who dare to dive into the wilderness!  You will have an opportunity to hang out on Lake Superior and portage between other inland lakes to train, grow, fellowship and take important steps toward becoming a mentor to those coming up behind you.  There will be lots of time to think, rest, laugh, and chat with the other guys on the trip making this a well rounded and worthwhile investment into your future.

Safety

All Project Forty instructors have been trained in their focused discipline and carry a minimum 2 years experience as a Guide Partner, under direct supervision from a current and certified instructor.  Climbing instructors are certified through the American Mountain Guide Association (AMGA) and hold a Wilderness Advanced First (WAFA) or higher.  All canoe guides are trained in water rescue and equipped for remote wilderness settings.
