Grand Ledge Climbing–Faith Lutheran

Welcome to one of Project Forty’s local climbing crag–Oak Park at Grand Ledge.  The ledges offer the beginner and experienced climber the challenge of the crux… that one move that will have you pushing yourself, encouraging your friends and finding out what kind of grit you have inside.  This is a great adventure for small groups, those looking for teamwork and leadership development, or just to try something new.   Here are a few things to think about before signing up!

  • If you attend the 10:45 service, then pack a lunch to eat at church. (We will leave by 1 p.m.)

  • Bring $10-$15 per person for dinner on the way home. We are aiming to get back to Grand Blanc by 8 p.m.

  • Make sure your WAIVER’s are up to date annually–click appropriate links:
  • If you attend the 10:45 service bring a change of clothes for climbing to change into at church.

  • Wear light/long pants that allow some flexibility, rain jacket if the weather report calls for rain.
  • Bring water in a non-glass bottle, you’ll be outdoors all day but snacks & extra water will be provided.
  • Questions? Contact Bruce Trevithick 810-287-7913 and/or Joel Zander 231-343-2960.

  • If it rains hard and we cannot climb, we will try to reschedule for Sunday, Oct. 8th.

  • Bring your adventurous spirit!

***If you have been hanging out with someone who has been sick with the Flu, Covid or any other unpleasant infectious illness in the last couple weeks please refrain from attending to help protect Project Forty and the families we serve… thank you!
